Comparative effectiveness research is a kind of clinical research method，which has gradually attracted more attention in recent years.The authors reviewed and analyzed research methods，design types of comparative effectiveness research as well as its application and other aspects on clinical acupuncture，and sort outed its methodology so as to study the existing problem in comparative effectiveness research.Based on the findings，the authors analyzed the development of this method on clinical acupuncture research.
