Objective: To screen the composing prescription of raw and auxiliary material and preparation technology of compound buccal tablets of Xinhui tangerine peel. Methods: Made composing prescriptions with different raw and auxiliary material in different doses such as tangerine peel powder, snake bile, glycyrrhiza, balloon flower root, dextrin, sucrose, arabic gum, menthol, magnesium stearate. Conducted trails by applying two preparation methods including preparation technology I and II. Evaluation of quality of buccal tablets: make assessment by using several indexes in Chinese Pharmacopoeia such as appearance, sense of odor, sense of gravel,hardness, friability, disintegration time, sublingual dissolving time and tablet weight variation. Results: The composing prescription V of tangerine peel powder, snake bile, glycyrrhiza, balloon flower root, dextrin, sucrose, menthol, magnesium stearate and the preparation technology II can well meet the quality standards. Conclusion: The composing prescription V and the preparation technology II of compound buccal tablets of Xinhui tangerine peel can fulfill the production requirements, providing reference for the production of compound buccal tablets of Xinhui tangerine peel.
