Abstract：Objective：To observe the clinical effect of Kangfuyan capsules combined with routine treatment for sequelae of pelvic inflammatory disease(SPID). Methods：A total of 176 cases of SPID patients were selected as the study subjects， and divided into the observation group and the control group according to their different treatment plans，with 88 cases in each group. Both groups were given routine treatment with levofloxacin and metronidazole，and the observation group was additionally treated with Kangfuyan capsules. Both groups were treated for 14 days. The clinical effects，scores of tenderness in lower abdomen，scores of laboratory examination，levels of C-reactive protein(CRP)，and incidences of adverse reactions in the two groups were compared. Results：The total effective rate was 94.3% in the observation group and 85.2% in the control group，the difference being significant(P＜0.05). Before treatment，there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of scores of tenderness and laboratory examination，and CRP levels between the two groups(P＞0.05). After treatment，the scores of tenderness and laboratory examination，and CRP levels in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment，and the indexes in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P＜0.05). During treatment，the incidence of adverse reactions was 6.8% in the observation group and 10.2% in the control group， there being no significant difference between the two groups(P＞0.05). Conclusion： The application of Kangfuyan capsules combined with routine treatment has a reliable curative effect in treating SPID， which can significantly improve inflammatory responses in the body，and relieve local signs of patients，with high safety.
