Abstract： Flooding and spotting is a common and frequently occurring disease of gynecology， which can occur in women of any age and affect women's work and life as well as physical and mental health. The basic treatment principles of Chinese medicine in treating it is to block the flow and find out the source to make it as normal as before. Anchong tang from Yixue Zhongzhong Canxi Lu is ZHANG Xichun's empirical prescription for persistent flow of menstruation and occasional spotting. This paper concludes that Anchong tang has a satisfactory curative effect on the treatment of flooding and spotting caused by the spleen qi depletion and the insecurity of thoroughfare vessel.
