Abstract: Objective: To analyze the rules of point selection on acupuncture and moxibustion for chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) by data mining technology,and to explore the use of high-frequency core points and the internal pathogenesis. Methods: The clinical literature related to acupuncture and moxibustion for CFS were searched from China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), WanFang database and Vip database from establishment to April 15,2022;the literature was screened according to inclusion and exclusion criteria;IBM SPSS Statistics 25.0 was used for frequency analysis and general class analysis on data;IBM SPSS Modeler18.0 software was used for association rule analysis (Aprior algorithm analysis) and cluster analysis;the complex network diagram was drawn. Results:A total of 141 pieces of literature meeting the requirements were selected and 152 groups of point prescriptions were extracted. The top 5 points used frequently in the treatment of CFS by acupuncture and moxibustion were Zusanli (ST36), Sanyinjiao (SP6), Baihui (DU20), Guanyuan (RN4) and Shenshu (BL23); the most commonly selected meridian vessels were bladder meridian, conception vessel and governor vessel; the specific points were mainly crossing point (365 times), five transport points (274 times) and back- shu points (249 times). The closest point pairs obtained by association rule analysis were Zusanli (ST36) → Sanyinjiao (SP6),Zusanli (ST36) → Guanyuan (RN4),Sanyinjiao (SP6) → Baihui (DU20) and Zusanli (ST36). Among the 4 types of prescriptions obtained by cluster analysis,the basic points in the first type of prescriptions were Pishu (BL20),Ganshu (BL18),Shenshu (BL23),Xinshu (BL15) and Feishu (BL13),and the points in the second, third and fourth types of prescriptions were the combination points based on syndrome differentiation. Conclusion: Acupuncture and moxibustion for CFS is to supplement deficiency, which takes the selection of back- shu points of five viscera as the basic prescription. And according to different clinical manifestations,crossing points and five transport points can be combined for modified application and treatment with the disease.
