Abstract:Objective:To observe the effect of electroacupuncture combined with auricular point seedpressing for pain after surgery for mixed hemorrhoids. Methods:A total of 86 cases of patients with mixed hemorrhoids who underwent external dissection and internal ligation surgery were selected and divided into the observation group and the control group according to random number table method, with 43 cases in each group. After surgery, the control group was given routine treatment, and those with severe pain were given lbuprofen Sustained- Release Capsules orally; the observation group was treated with electroacupuncture combined with auricular point seed- pressing based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were treated for 7 days. The clinical effects, Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) scores at different postoperative time points, and incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results:After treatment, the recovery rate and total effective rate were 72.09% and 95.35% in the observation group respectively, higher than those of 48.84% and 76.74% in the control group, differences being significant (P<0.05). Grouping factors had no effect on VAS scores (P>0.05),and time factors had an impact on VAS scores (P<0.05);VAS scores in the two groups were decreased over time, and there was no interaction between time factors and grouping factors (P>0.05). On the first, third, fifth, and seventh day after surgery, the VAS scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group during the same period, differences being significant (P<0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions was 4.65% in the observation group and 9.30% in the control group, there was no significant difference between the two groups (P>0.05). Conclusion: Electroacupuncture combined with auricular point seed- pressing can promote recovery, and effectively alleviate postoperative pain in patients with mixed hemorrhoids.
