Objective：To observe the clinical effect of modified Yinchen Lianqiao Chidou yin combined with calamine lotion for prurigo gestationis of dampness-heat accumulation type.Methods：Selected 68 cases of patients with prurigo gestationis of damp-heat accumulation type，and divided them into the control group and the observation group randomly，34 cases in each group.Both groups receivedcalamine lotion for treatment，while the observation group additionally received modifiedYinchen Lianqiao Chidou yin orally.Results：The total effective rate was 91.2%in the observation group and 70.6%in the control group，the difference being significant(P＜0.05).Before treatment，the itching scores in both groups were compared，there being no significant difference(P ＞ 0.05).After treatment，the itching scores in both groups were lower than those before treatment(P ＜ 0.05)；the itching scores in the observation group were decreased more distinctly when compared with those in the control group(P＜ 0.05).During the treatment，there was one case of burning discomfort in the upper abdominal and nausea in the observation group，while there was no adverse reaction being found in the control group.Conclusion：The curative effect of the therapy of modified Yinchen Lianqiao Chidou yin combined with calamine lotion is better in the treatment of prurigo gestationis of dampness-heat accumulation type than that of external application of calamine lotion alone.
