Objective：To observe the clinical effect of Yiqi Tuomin tang for allergic rhinitis of invasion of cold and lung deficiency type.Methods：Divided patients enrolled in the observation into two groups，60 cases in each group.The western medicine group was given loratadine tablets for treatment，and Chinese medicine group receivedYiqi Tuomin tang for treatment.Filled the observation table before and after treatment.Then observed and compared the clinical effect as well as changes of symptoms and signs between the two groups.Results：Compared the clinical effect of both groups，there was no significance being found in the difference(P＞0.05).Compared the total scores of symptoms and signs and complications of two groups on the 14th，21st and 28th day after treatment respectively，differences being significant(P＜0.05).The difference of rhinocnesmus was significant(P＜0.05)when main clinical symptoms(rhinocnesmus，sneeze，watery nasal discharge，nasal obstruction，and turbinate mucosa)were compared between the two groups.Respectively compared Chinese medicine differentiated symptoms(complications including aversion to cold，spontaneous perspiration and hypodynamia)between the two groups on the 7th，14th，21st，and 28th day after treatment，differences were significant(P＜0.01).Conclusion：The curative effect of Yiqi Tuomin tang for allergic rhinitis of invasion of cold and lung deficiency type is exact and equivalent to that of loratadine tablets，but more stable and durable.It is also superior to loratadine tablets in improving rhinocnesmus.
