Xianfang Huoming yin is a famous prescription of Chinese medicine surgery with the efficacy of clearing heat and detoxification，detumescence and lump dissipation，and activating blood and analgesia.The original prescription is applied to the beginning of carbuncle with yang syndrome.The authors summarized the clinical application of Xianfang Huoming yin in departments of internal medicine，surgery，gynecology，pediatrics and orthopaedics in recent years.The authors concluded that acute and chronic stage of inflammatory diseases all can be treated with Xianfang Huoming yin，and pointed out that Xianfang Huoming yin can be used to improve adverse reactions after radiofrequency ablation.
