By collating the relevant literature and clinical research on Chinese medicine syndrome differentiation and treatment for treating idiopathic membranous nephropathy in recent years，the authors concluded that the pathogenesis of idiopathic membranous nephropathy is related to the theory"deficiency in origin and excess in superficiality，and deficiency and excess inclusion”，and took “kidney-reinforcing，spleen-strengthening，dampness-removing，and blood-activating”as a great treatment，and comprehensively analyzed thoughts and experiences of famous experts in Chinese medicine syndrome differentiation and treatment for this disease，thought that the combination of Chinese medicine and modernization indexes and the reasonable application of Chinese medicine theory and Chinese medicine syndrome differentiation treatment for treating idiopathic nephropathy can be one of the ideas for clinical research.
