Objective：To observe the clinical effect of comprehensive therapy of Shi's stone needle for chronic pelvic pain(CPP)of qi-stagnation and blood-stasis type.Methods：Selected 42 cases of patients ofqi-stagnation and blood-stasis type as study objects， used the self-control study method， and applied comprehensive therapy of Shi's stone needle for treatment.The course of treatment was three menstrual cycles.After treatment，evaluated the clinical effect by means of simplified McGill pain questionnaire，self-rating anxiety scale(SAS)and World Health Organization quality of life measuring scale summary table(WHOQOL-BREF).Results：After treatment，scores of simplified McGill pain questionnaire of patientswere decreased when compared with those before treatment，differences being significant(P＜0.01).Before treatment，SAS scores of patients was(43.75±7.92)，being lower than those(32.75±6.14)after treatment， difference being significant(P＜0.01).After treatment，the anxiety of patients was significantly reduced，difference being significant(Z=-5.821，P＜0.01).After treatment， the scores of WHOQOL-BREF items were all higher than those before treatment， differences being significant(P＜0.01).During treatment，there were no fainting during acupuncture，sticking of needle or other symptoms of patients being found.Conclusion：Comprehensive therapy of Shi's stone needlecan effectively relieve pain of patients withCPP of qi-stagnation and blood-stasis type，reduce anxiety and improve quality of life.
