Objective: To discuss the essence of the spleen-stomach damp-heat syndrome fromthe perspective of proteomics by analyzing differential protein expression in serum of rat models of the spleen-stomach damp-heat syndrome.Methods:Applied the systematic biological methods including serum proteo mics and bioin for matics,adopted the separation technology of two-dimensionalgel electrophoresis(2-DE)to separate serum protein of rats in models of the spleen-stomach damp-heat syndrome,acquired the differentially expressed proteins,and identified the differentially expressed proteins by using matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization time-of-flightmass spectrometry(MALDI-TOF-MS)and database.Results:12 protein spots which had remarkably differentialexpression were found,and 9 proteins were determined as properdin factor B,coagulation factorⅡ,C-reactive protein,alpha-trypsin inhibitor heavy chain H4,apolipoprotein AI,Recombinant human apolipoprotein AI, thrombos pondin, α -macroglobulin and comp lement 3 by identification.Conclusion: The differentially expressed proteins screened above mainly involve body immunity material metabolism,inflammation and he morheology.Through the proteomic research on differential protein expression in serum of rats in models of the sp leen-stomach damp-heat syndrome,it provides references for the further study of the essence of the spleen-stomach damp-heat syndrome via proteo mics fromthe perspective of theory and technology.
