Objective： To observe the clinical effect of modified Xiaoyu Xiezhuo yin for postoperative of kidney cancer patients with renal insufficiency.Methods： By using Xiaoyu Xiezhuo yin as the basic prescription， the prescription compatibility varied according to different syndromes.32 cases of patients with renal insufficiency after operation for kidney cancer received the oral administration one dose per day，in the morning and evening separately；and received treatment based on syndrome differentiation every 7 days.One course of treatment lasted for 3 months.After treatment for one month，conducted renal function test； after treatment for one course， evaluated and analyzed the clinical effect.Results： After treatment，comparing the symptomscores of fatigue，aversion to cold and waist soreness，Karnofsky scores and glomerular filtration rate(GFR)of patients with those before treatment，there were significant differences being found(P ＜ 0.05).The total effective rate of renal function was 90.6% in the 1st month of treatment and 93.8% in the 3rd month of treatment.Conclusion：Modified Xiaoyu Xiezhuo yin has good clinicaleffect in treating postoperative of kidney cancer patients with renal insufficiency.
