Objective：To observe the clinical effect of Toutongning capsules combined with aspirin for migraine and its safety.Methods：Selected 60 cases of patients with migraine as study subjects，and divided them into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method，30 cases in each group.The control group was given health education and treated with oral administration of compound aspirin，while the observation group was additionally given Toutongning capsules based on the treatment of the control group.Both groups were treated for two weeks continuously.Compared the clinical effect，the times of headache attacks，and the duration as well as severity of headaches before and after treatment in the two groups，and recorded the adverse reactions.Results：The total effective rate in the observation group was 86.67%，higher than that of 63.33% in the control group，the difference being significant(P＜0.05).After treatment，both groups had fewer headache attacks than before treatment(P＜0.05)； the duration of headache shortened when compared with that before treatment(P＜0.05)；scores of visual analogue scale(VAS)were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05).Compared with those in the control group respectively，the observation group had fewer headache attacks(P＜0.05)；the duration of headache was shorter(P＜0.05)；VAS score was lower(P＜0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions was 10.00% in the control group and 13.33% in the observation group，there being no significant difference(P＞0.05).Conclusion：The therapy of Toutongning capsules combined with aspirin for migraine can improve clinical effect with less adverse reactions and higher safety.
