To observe the effect of Jiangsuan Xiaozhi capsules on uric acid(UA)and xanthine oxidase(XOD)in rats with hypemricemia(HUA).Methods:The model of rats with HUA was established by intraperitoneal injection of hypoxanthine and subcutaneous injection of potassium oxonate.They were divided into the model group,the allopurinol group,the groups of Jiangsuan Xiaozhi capsules in low,middle and high dose,10 rats in each group.The normal group contained 10 rats without model establishment.The normal group and the model group respectively received equivalent 0.9%saline by gavage,the allopurinol group received allopurinol in 40 mg/(kg·d)by gavage,and the groups of Jiangsuan Xiaozhi capsules in high,middle and low dose respectively received Jiangsuan Xiaozhi capsules in 24 g/(kg·d),12 g/(kg·d)and 6 g/(kg·d)by gavage.After 4 weeks of continuous treatment,the blood was collected so as to detect the levels of blood UA,blood XOD,serum triglyceride(TG),total cholesterol(TC),blood urea nitrogen(BUN)and serum creatinine(SCr)of rats in each group.Results:Comparing with the normal group,the levels of blood UA,XOD,TG,TC,BUN and SCr of rats in the model group were significantly increased(P<0.05,P<0.01).Comparing with the model group,the activity of blood XOD in the groups of Jiangsuan Xiaozhi capsules in each dose and the allopurinol group was significantly inhabited,the contents of blood UA were reduced(P < 0.05,P < 0.01);the levels of serum TG,TC,BUN and SCr in the groups of Jiangsuan Xiaozhi capsules in each dose and allopurinal group were decreased,but only the clinical effect in the groups of Jiangsuan Xiaozhi capsules in high dose and allopurinol group were all significant(P<0.05,P<0.01).Conclusion:Jiangsuan Xiaozhi capsules can significantly reduce the contents of UA in rats with HUA,inhabit the activity of XOD,relieve hyperlipidemia and improve renal function.It has effect in preventing and treating HUA in rats to some extent.
