To observe the curative effect of Shexiang Baoxin pills combined with measures of western medicine for stable angina pectoris(SAP)of coronary heart disease with blood stasis due to qi stagnation syndrome, and its regulating effect on the levels of reactive oxygen species(ROS)and cardiotrophin-1(CT-1)in serum. Methods:A total of 88 cases of SAP patients were divided into two groups according to the random number table method,44 cases in each group. The control group was given routine treatment according to the guidelines, and the observation group was additionally given oral administration of Shexiang Baoxin pills based on the treatment of the control group. After treatment for 12 weeks, the symptom scores of blood stasis due to qi stagnation syndrome, the angina pectoris attacks, the clinical effect and the levels of ROS and CT-1 in serum in the two groups were compared. Results:After treatment, the symptom scores of blood stasis due to qi stagnation syndrome in the two groups were decreased(P < 0.01),and the score in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P < 0.01).After treatment, the frequency of angina pectoris attacks per week and the duration of each attack in the two groups were decreased(P < 0.01),and the above two indexes in the observation group were less than those in the control group(P<0.01).The total effective rate was 95.35%in the observation group and 77.27%in the control group, the difference being significant(P < 0.05).After treatment, the levels of ROS and CT-1 in serum in the two groups were decreased, and the levels in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.01).Conclusion:The therapy of Shexiang Baoxin pills combined with measures of western medicine in treating SAP with blood stasis due to qi stagnation syndrome has significant curative effect, whose curative effect may be related to the downregulation of the levels of ROS and CT-1.
