Abstract:To observe the clinical effect of the therapy of press-needle combined with auricular point pressing for hiccups after abdominal surgery. Methods:A total of 116 patients with hiccups after abdominal surgery were randomly divided into the control group and the observation group,56 cases in each group. The control group was treated with intramuscular injection of metoclopramide hydrochloride, while the observation group was treated with press-needle combined with auricular point pressing. Both groups were treated for five days. After treatment, the degree of hiccups was evaluated and the effect-taking time and disappearance rate of hiccup were recorded. Results:The clinical effect in the observation group was better than that in the control group, the difference being significant(P < 0.01).After treatment, the degree of hiccups in the observation group was gentle than that in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05).The effect-taking time of hiccups in the observation group was shorter than that in the control group(P < 0.05),and the disappearance rate of hiccups was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The therapy of press-needle combined with auricular point pressing can relieve hiccups effectively in patients after abdominal surgery and take effect quickly, whose curative effect is better than metocolpramide hydrochloride treatment.
