Abstract： With the change of the environment and people's living habits， laryngeal cough has gradually become a clinically common disease，and external treatment of Chinese medicine has significant therapeutic effect on it. Through the comprehensive search of CNKI， Wanfang， VIP and other databases， the authors sorted out， counted up， summarized， analyzed and summarized the literature on external treatment of Chinese medicine for laryngeal cough in recent years. This paper not only reviewed the etiology and pathogenesis of the disease， but also the treatments like acupuncture， Chinese herbal application，point injection，tuina and comprehensive therapy，etc. This paper aimed to provide more clinical ideas for the treatment of laryngeal cough，so that Chinese medicine can play a more important role in it.
