Abstract：Objective：To observe the curative effect of the therapy of Herba Lysimachiae combined with Chinese patent medicine on patients with cholecystolithiasis. Methods：A total of 90 patients with cholecystolithiasis were randomly divided into the combined treatment group and the control group， 45 cases in each group. The control group was treated with ursodeoxycholic acid capsules；the combined treatment group was additionally treated with Danshi Litong tablets，Xiaoyan Lidan tablets and decocted Herba Lysimachiae based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were treated for four weeks. Changes in the levels of cholecystokinin(CCK) and vasoactive intestinal peptide(VIP)， the number and diameter of gallstones and clinical effect were recorded before and after treatment in the two groups. Results： Compared with those before treatment， the CCK levels in serum were increased in both groups； the VIP levels， the number and diameter of gallstones were decreased in both groups(P＜0.05). After treatment， the CCK level in the combined treatment group was increased more significantly than that in the control group，and the VIP level，the number and diameter of gallstones were decreased more significantly than those in the control group(P＜0.05). The total effective rate was 86.67% in the control group and 97.78% in the combined treatment group，the difference being significant(P＜0.05). Conclusion：The therapy of Herba Lysimachiae combined with Chinese patent medicine has a significant effect in treating patients with cholecystolithiasis， which can effectively reduce the clinical symptoms， and relatively reduce the number and diameter of gallstones， whose mechanism may be related to the reduction of VIP level and increase of CCK level.
