Abstract：Objective：To observe the clinical effect of the therapy of Jianwei Xiaoshi oral liquid combined with compound Dingxiang Kaiwei paste for functional dyspepsia(FD) in children. Methods：A total of 80 children with FD were selected and divided into the observation group and the control group according to random number table method. The observation group was treated with Jianwei Xiaoshi oral liquid and compound Dingxiang Kaiwei paste，while the control group was treated with domperidone tablets. The clinical effect，the changes of electrogastrogram(EGG) and solid gastric emptying test with barium bar before and after treatment，and the occurrence of adverse reactions in the two groups were observed. Results：The total effective rate was 90.0% in the observation group and 85.0% in the control group，there being no significant difference(P＞0.05). After treatment，the percentage of normal gastric electric rhythm and the percentage of over-speeded gastric electric rhythm in both groups were increased when compared with those before treatment，and the percentage of over-slow gastric electric rhythm was decreased，differences being significant(P＜0.05). After treatment，the percentage of over-speeded gastric electric rhythm in the observation group was higher than that in the control group，while the percentage of over- slow gastric electric rhythm was lower than that in the control group，differences being significant(P＜0.05). After treatment， the normal rate and suspiciously abnormal rate of gastric emptying were increased when compared with those before treatment，and the abnormal rate of gastric emptying was decreased，the difference being significant(P＜0.05). There was no significant difference in the comparison of the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P＞0.05). Conclusion：The therapy of Jianwei Xiaoshi oral liquid combined with compound Dingxiang Kaiwei paste can effectively treat children with FD，which is safe and worthy of clinical application.
