Objective:To observe the effect of modified Shiwei powder on renal function and inflammatory indexes of patients after ureteroscopic holmium laser lithotripsy. Methods:Selected 110 cases of patients with upper ureteric calculi treated with ureteroscopic holmium laser lithotripsy, divided them into the treatment group and the control group according to the random number table, with 55 cases in each group. Both groups were treated with ureteroscopic holmium laser lithotripsy and the treatment group was additionally given the adjuvant treatment of modified Shiwei powder after operation.Recorded the postoperative rate of residual stone in the two groups and observed the changes of renal function and inflammatory indexes. Results:On the 30thday after surgery, the rate of residual stone in the treatment group was 1.82%,being lower than that of 12.73% in the control group(P<0.05).On the 30thday after surgery, the levels of blood urea nitrogen(BUN)and serum creatinine(SCr)in the two groups were decreased when compared with those at 24 h after surgery, and the levels of BUN in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group, differences being significant(P<0.05).On the 30thday after surgery, the levels of C-reactive protein(CRP),procalcitonin(PCT)and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF- α)in the two groups and the levels of interleukin-6(IL-6)in the treatment group were all decreased when compared with those at 24 h after the operation, differences being significant(P < 0.05);the levels of four inflammatory indexes in the treatment group were all lower than those in the control group, differences being significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:The application of modified Shiwei powder assisted ureteroscopic holmium laser lithotripsy for upper ureteric calculi has satisfactory curative effect, which can improve the renal function of patients and relieve the postoperative inflammatory reactions.
