Objective： To observe the clinical effect of Chinese herbal medicine for acne of dampness- heat type.Methods：A total of 90 cases of patients with acne of dampness-heat type were collected as the study subjects and divided into two groups according to the random number table method，45 cases in each group. The control group was locally treated with tretinoin cream， and the observation group was additionally treated with oral treatment of Jiedu Qudou prescription based on the treatment of the control group. The clinical effect and recurrence rates in the two groups were compared.Results： The total clinical effective rate was 91.11% in the observation group， higher than that of 71.11% in the control group，the difference being significant(P < 0.05). During the follow-up three months after the treatment，the recurrence rate was 6.67% in the observation group，lower than that of 24.44% in the control group，the difference being significant(P <0.05). Conclusion：The therapy of prescription of Chinese herbal medicine Jiedu Qudou prescription combined with tretinoin cream has good curative effect in treating acne of dampness- heat type， and can effectively improve their symptoms and reduce the recurrence of acne.
