Clinical Observation on Effect of Abdominal Acupuncture Combined with Rehabilitation Training on Knee Pain and Motion Function in Patients with Knee Arthritis
Objective:To observe the clinical effect of abdominal acupuncture combined with rehabilitation training on knee pain and motion function in patients with knee arthritis. Methods:A total of 120 patients with knee arthritis were selected as the study subjects, and randomly divided into the abdominal acupuncture group, the rehabilitation training group, the combined treatment group and the control group,30 patients in each group. The control group was treated to relieve pain and inflammation; the abdominal acupuncture group was given abdominal acupuncture at points; the rehabilitation training group was given lower-limb muscle chain exercise and quadriceps exercise;the combined treatment group was additionally treated with abdominal acupuncture combined with rehabilitation training based on the treatment of the control group. After four-week treatment, the effect of the four therapies was analyzed according to the improvement of knee pain and the change of motion function. Results:The total effective rate in the combined treatment group was significantly higher than those in the abdominal acupuncture group and the rehabilitation training group respectively, differences being significant(P<0.05).The total effective rates in the abdominal acupuncture group and the rehabilitation training group were significantly higher than that in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05).The total effective rate was 90.00% in the combined treatment group, significantly higher than those in the abdominal acupuncture group(84.33%), the rehabilitation training group(80.00%)and the control group(46.67%).After one-week treatment, the pain scores in the four groups were improved when compared with those before treatment; after four-week treatment, compared the pain scores in the four groups before treatment, differences were significant(P<0.05,P<0.01).The score of Visual Analogue Scale(VAS)after four-week treatment in the combined treatment group was significantly lower than those in the other groups respectively, differences being significant(P < 0.05).After four-week treatment, the score of activities of daily living in the combined treatment group was significantly higher than those in the other groups respectively, differences being significant(P < 0.05),and the combined treatment group showed effect faster, and its score of activities of daily living was improved significantly after one-week treatment, compared with that before treatment, differences were significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:The therapy of abdominal acupuncture combined with rehabilitation training has significant effect on knee pain and motion function in treating patients with knee arthritis, especially on the improvement of motion function.
