Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical effect of medicated bath with Buzhong Yiqi tang combined with Liuwei Dihuang pills for spastic cerebral palsy in children. Methods:A total of 90 cases of children with spastic cerebral palsy were selected as the study subjects and were divided into the control group and the study group according to the random number table method, 45 cases in each group. The control group was given routine western medicine combined with Bobath training, and the study group was additionally treated with medicated bath with Buzhong Yiqi tang combined with oral administration of Liuwei Dihuang pills based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were treated for two courses, three months being a course. The clinical effect,as well as the changes in gross motor function,muscular tension and fine motor function before and after treatment were compared between the two groups. Results:The total effective rate was 91.11% in the study group,higher than that of 75.56% in the control group(P<0.05). After treatment,the scores of lying and rolling,sitting,crawling and kneeling,standing,walking,running and jumping in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05), and the increase of the above five scores in the Gross Motor Function Measure(GMFM-88) in the study group was more significant than that in the study group(P<0.05). After treatment,when compared with those before treatment,the scores of Modified Ashworth scale(MAS) in the two groups were decreased(P< 0.05), and the scores of Fine Motor Function Measure(FMFM) were increased(P<0.05). The score of MAS in the study group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05),and the score of FMFM was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion: The therapy of medicated bath with Buzhong Yiqi tang combined with oral administration of Liuwei Dihuang pills has significant curative effect in the treatment of children with spastic cerebral palsy,which can promote the recovery of their gross motor function and fine motor function,and reduce their muscular tension.
