Abstract： Objective： To observe the clinical effect of Xiangsha Liujunzi tang for peptic ulcer of spleen- stomach deficiency type in senile patients. Methods： A total of 138 cases of senile patients with peptic ulcer of spleen- stomach deficiency type were selected and divided into the observation group and the control group according to the random number table method，69 cases in each group. The control group was treated with routine western medicine，and the observation group was additionally treated with Xiangsha Liujunzi tang. The clinical effect was compared between the two groups. The recovery time of clinical symptoms，the negative rate of helicobacter pylori(Hp)，and adverse reactions were recorded in the two groups. Results：The total clinical effective rate was 95.65% in the observation group，higher than that of 81.16% in the control group，the difference being significant(P＜0.05). The recovery time of belching，acid regurgitation，burning sensation in upper abdomen and abdominal pain in the observation group was shorter than that in the control group，the difference being significant(P＜0.05). After treatment， the positive rates of Hp in the two groups were slightly decreased， and the negative rate were slightly increased；the positive rate of Hp in the observation group was lower than that in the control group， and the negative rate was higher than that in the control group， the difference being significant(P＜0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions was 5.80% in the observation group，lower than that of 14.49% in the control group，the difference being significant(P＜0.05). Conclusion： Xiangsha Liujunzi tang is an effective treatment for senile patients with peptic ulcer of spleen-stomach deficiency type，which can decrease the positive rate of Hp and relieve clinical symptoms.
