Abstract：Objective：To understand the application of Chinese patent medicine in the department of neurology，analyze the possible problems in clinical medication，provide some guidance for clinical medication，and to promote its rational use. Methods：According to the management system of Chinese patent medicine in the hospital network information database， the quantity，amount and frequency of using of Chinese patent medicine in the department of neurology of Zhengzhou First People's Hospital in 2018 were classified and analyzed，and the usage of Chinese patent medicinein itwas analyzed. Results： The utilization rate of Chinese patent medicine was high in the department of neurology，accounting for 35.68% of the total amount of medicine used. The application of Chinese patent medicine reflected a certain continuity，and the sales amount and frequency of various medicine were relatively fixed. Conclusion： The medication of Chinese patent medicine in the department of neurology of Zhengzhou First People's Hospital is basically reasonable，which can meet the clinical demand to a certain extent，ensure the economy，effectiveness and safety of clinical medication，and is conducive to improving the therapeutic effect while taking into account the patient's economic affordability.
