Abstract：Zhibai Dihuang tang is a classic prescription for nourishing yin，tonifying kidney，clearing heat and decreasing internal heat clinically. It has a significant effect on urinary system，endocrine system，gynecology，andrology，pediatrics， dermatology，diseases of Ear，Nose and Throat Branch，as well as venereal diseases，senile dementia，intervertebral disc herniation， etc. Its pharmacological effects mainly include lowering blood glucose， enhancing immunity， anti- oxidation， anti-fatigue，regulating neuroendocrine，anti-tumor and so on. At present，there has been progress in clinical research on Zhibai Dihuang tang. As a result， the authors systematically elaborated the application of Zhibai Dihuang tang in clinical diseases，providing a basis for the promotion and application of this prescription.
