Abstract： Objective： To observe the clinical effect of Yueju tang combined with levothyroxine sodium tablets for Hashimoto thyroiditis complicated with hypothyroidism. Methods：A total of 112 cases of patients with Hashimoto thyroiditis complicated with hypothyroidism were divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method， 56 cases in each group. The control group was given levothyroxine sodium tablets， and the observation group was additionally treated with Yueju tang based on the treatment of the control group. The curative effect in the two groups was compared. Results： After treatment， the levels of free triiodothyronine(FT3)， free thyroxine(FT4) and thyroid- stimulating hormone(TSH) in the two groups were improved， and the improvement in the observation group was better than that in the control group(P＜0.05)；each Chinese medicine symptom score in the two groups was decreased，and the decrease in the observation group was larger than that in the control group(P＜0.05). The curative effect in the observation group was better than that in the control group(Z=1.732， P＜0.05). There was no significant difference being found in the comparison of adverse reactions between the two groups(P＞0.05). Conclusion：Integrated Chinese and western medicine therapy in treating patients with Hashimoto thyroiditis complicated with hypothyroidism can relieve symptoms and improve curative effect，with good safety.
