Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical effect of Keyangshu lotion combined with metronidazole and furazolidone suppositories for bacterial vaginitis(BV). Methods:A total of 92 cases of BV patients were randomly divided into the control group and the treatment group,46 cases in each group. The control group was treated with metronidazole and furazolidone suppositories,and the treatment group was additionally treated with Keyangshu lotion based on the treatment of the control group. Before and after treatment,the improvement of clinical symptoms including leukorrhagia,pruritus vulvae and burning pain of vagina,and the routine examination of leukorrhea in the two groups were observed and compared. The total clinical effect and recurrence rate in the two groups were counted. Results: The total effective rate was 95.7% in the treatment group and 84.8% in the control group,the difference being significant(P<0.05). After treatment,the number of cases with symptoms including leukorrhagia,pruritus vulvae and burning pain of vagina in the treatment group was significantly smaller than that in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). After treatment, the routine examination of leukorrhea in the two groups was improved when compared with that before treatment,the positive rate of clue cells and pH > 4.5 in the treatment group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05),There was no significant difference in the positive rate of amine test(P>0.05). After follow- up for three and six months, the recurrence rate was respectively 2.1% and 4.3% in the treatment group,and 14.9% and 23.4% in the control group,differences being significant (P<0.05). Conclusion: The therapy of Keyangshu lotion combined with metronidazole and furazolidone suppositories in treating BV can significantly alleviate the clinical symptoms, improve the related indexes of leucorrhea, and reduce the recurrence,whose curative effect is better than that of western medicine alone.
