Abstract: Objective: To observe the effect of foot bath with Chinese herbal medicine and auricular point sticking combined with western medicine for hypertensive vertigo. Methods: A total of 140 cases of patients with hypertensive vertigo were randomly divided into the control group and the observation group,70 cases in each group. Both groups were given the oral administration of amlodipine besylate tablets, those whose blood pressure could not be controlled were additionally treated with other antihypertensive drugs, and given routine nursing care. The observation group was additionally given auricular point sticking combined with foot bath with Chinese herbal medicine. Both groups were observed and treated for four weeks. Before and after treatment, blood pressure was measured, and the scores of vertigo and Quality of Life Scale were assessed. Results:After treatment, the curative effect of improving blood pressure in the observation group was better than that in the control group(P<0.05). Systolic blood pressure(SBP) and diastolic blood pressure(DBP) in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.01),SBP and DBP in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05). The scores of vertigo in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.01),and the score in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.01). The scores of Quality of Life Scale in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.01), and the score in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion:Based on the routine treatment, the intervention of auricular point sticking with beans combined with foot bath with Chinese herbal medicine for patients with hypertensive vertigo can further control blood pressure, relieve vertigo and other symptoms, and improve their quality of life.
