Abstract： Objective： To observe the clinical effect of Jianpi Bushen Huoxue prescription for premature ovarian failure (POF) with spleen-kidney yang deficiency syndrome. Methods：A total of 98 cases of POF patients with spleen-kidney yang deficiency syndrome were randomly divided into the control group and the study group，49 cases in each group. The control group was treated with estradiol valerate tablets and progesterone soft capsules， and the study group was additionally treated with Jianpi Bushen Huoxue prescription based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were treated for six cycles，21 days being a cycle. Before and after treatment，the levels of follicle-stimulating hormones(FSH)，estradiol(E2) and luteinizing hormone(LH) in serum in the two groups were detected. The changes in the symptoms and Chinese medicine syndrome scores during menopause phase in the two groups were observed， and the clinical effect and safety were evaluated. Results：The total effective rate was 85.71% in the study group，and 67.35% in the control group，the difference being significant(P＜0.05). After treatment， the levels of FSH and LH in the two groups were lower than those before treatment(P＜0.05)，and the level of E2 was higher(P＜0.05)，and the improvement of the above indexes in the study group was more significant than that in the control group(P＜0.05). After treatment，the scores of Kupperman and Chinese medicine syndromes in the two groups were significantly decreased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05)；the above two scores in the study group were lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05). There was no severe uncomfortable symptom or abnormal change of the liver and kidney function in the two groups. Conclusion： Based on routine western medicine treatment， Jianpi Bushen Huoxue prescription has significant curative effect in treatment POF with high safety，which is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
