Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical effect of Wuji Baifeng pills combined with acupuncture for primary dysmenorrhea. Methods: A total of 60 cases of patients with primary dysmenorrhea were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group. The control group was treated with acupuncture, and the observation group was additionally given Wuji Baifeng pills based on the treatment of the control group. The symptom scores of dysmenorrhea before and after treatment as well as the recurrence of dysmenorrhea three months after treatment in the two groups were compared. Results: After treatment, the symptom scores of dysmenorrhea in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment, the difference being significant(P<0.05), and the above score in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05). Three months after treatment, all patients were followed up;the recurrence rate of dysmenorrhea was 30.00% in the observation group, significantly lower than that of 56.67% in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). Conclusion: Based on the treatment of acupuncture, the application of Wuji Baifeng pills can alleviate the clinical symptoms of patients with primary dysmenorrhea, and reduce the recurrence rate of dysmenorrhea.
