Abstract:Objective:To observe the clinical effect of four-in-one therapy for chronic pelvic inflammation of dampnessheat accumulation type. Methods: A total of 60 cases of patients with chronic pelvic inflammation of dampness- heat accumulation type were randomly divided into the treatment group and the control group, 30 cases in each group. The treatment group was given four- in- one therapy including oral administration of Chinese herbal medicine and point blocking during menstrual period, and enema with Chinese herbal medicine and external application of SihuangShuimi, during non menstrual period. The control group was given cephalosporin antibiotics by intravenous drip. The treatment lasted for three menstrual cycles. The clinical effect and the changes in symptom scores before and after treatment in the two groups were observed and compared. Results: The total effective rate was 93.33% in the treatment group, and 76.67% in the control group,the difference being significant(P<0.05).After treatment,in the two groups,the symptom scores such as pain in the lower abdomen,pain in the lumbosacral region,profuse vaginal discharge,lassitude of spirit and lack of strength,as well as profuse menstruation were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05), and the scores in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion:The four- in- one therapy has significant curative effect in treating chronic pelvic inflammation of dampness-heat accumulation type.
