Abstract：Objective：To observe the clinical effect of Chuanwang Xiaoyan capsules combined with Kaihoujian spray for chronic laryngopharyngitis. Methods：A total of 290 cases of patients with chronic laryngopharyngitis were divided into Group A and Group B according to the random number table method，145 cases in each group respectively. Group A was treated with Kaihoujian spray，and Group B was additionally treated with Chuanwang Xiaoyan capsules. Both groups were treated for 10 days. The clinical effect，the improvement time of clinical symptoms as well as the changes in the levels of inflammatory factors before and after treatment were compared between the two groups. Results：The total effective rate was 93.8% in Group B，higher than that of 74.5% in Group A，the difference being significant(P＜0.05). The improvement time of pain and itching in throat，foreign body sensation in throat，and dry cough in Group B was shorter than that in Group A，differences being significant(P＜0.05). After treatment，the levels of C-reactive protein(CRP)，interleukin-4(IL-4)，interleukin-6(IL-6) and tumor necrosis factor- α(TNF- α) in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05)， and the above four levels in Group B were all lower than those in Group A(P＜0.05). Conclusion： The therapy of Chuanwang Xiaoyan capsules combined with Kaihoujian spray has significant curative effect in treating chronic laryngopharyngitis，which can rapidly relive clinical symptoms，reduced the levels of inflammatory factors.
