Abstract：Objective：To observe the clinical effect of the therapy of acupuncture combined with one-finger pushing for Xerophthalmia. Methods： A total of 60 patients who met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into two groups， 30 patients in each group. The observation group was treated with acupuncture and one-finger pushing，and the control group was treated with 0.1% of sodium hyaluronate eye drops. Both groups were treated for four weeks. After treatment， the clinical effect，level of Schirmer Ⅰ Test(SIT) and tear break-up time(BUT) were compared between the two groups. Results：After four weeks of treatment，SIT level and BUT were increased in both groups，and those in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group，differences being significant(P＜0.05). The total effective rate of clinical effect was 96.7% in the observation group， significantly higher than that of 83.3% in the control group. Conclusion： The therapy of acupuncture combined with one- finger pushing for dry eye syndrome can prolong the tear break- up time， promote the secretion of tears，and improve the clinical symptoms of patients.
