Abstract： Objective： To observe the effect of the enema of raw Radix et Rhizoma Rhei on amylase and inflammatory factors in serum in patients with acute pancreatitis. Methods： A total of 80 cases of patients with acute pancreatitis were selected and divided into two groups according to the odd and even dates，40 cases in each group. The control group was given systematic nutrition nursing based on the routine nursing; the observation group was additionally given Chinese medicine emotional nursing based on the nursing of the control group. The nursing effect was compared between the two groups. Results：After treatment，the intra-abdominal pressure in the two groups was decreased，and the decrease in the observation group was larger than that in the control group， differences being significant(P＜0.05). After treatment， the amylase and inflammatory factors including tumor necrosis factor- α(TNF- α)， interleukin- 6(IL- 6) and C- reactive protein (CRP) in serum in the two groups were decreased， and the decrease in the observation group was larger than that in the control group，differences being significant(P＜0.05). The duration of abdominal distention，the time of first defecation，the duration of abdominal tenderness and the hospitalization time in the observation group were all shorter than those in the control group， differences being significant(P＜0.05). Conclusion： The therapy of enema of raw Radix et Rhizoma Rhei in treating patients with acute pancreatitis can improve their intra- abdominal pressure， amylase and inflammatory factors in serum，and enhance the curative effect.
