Abstract:Objective:To observe the therapy of governor vessel-unblocking and yang-warming moxibustion for patients with leukopenia after chemotherapy for cancer and its effect on the quality of life. Methods:A total of 89 cases of patients with leukopenia after chemotherapy were divided into two groups randomly,44 and 45 cases in each group respectively. The control group was given recombinant human granulocyte-macrophage colony stimulating factor,Shengbai tang and routine nursing intervention, and the observation group was additionally given governor vessel- unblocking and yang- warming moxibustion. The clinical effect, the scores of Karnofsky Performance Status(KPS),white blood cell count and the treatment time in both groups were observed. Results:The obvious effective rate was 95.56% in the observation group and 38.64% in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). At the 7th and 14th days of treatment, the white blood cell counts in both groups were significantly higher than those before treatment(P<0.05);the white blood cell count in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05). At the 7th and 14th days of treatment, the scores of KPS in the observation group were significantly higher than those before treatment(P<0.05),and those in the control group(P<0.05). At the 7th day of treatment, the score of KPS in the control group was higher than that before treatment, but there was no significance in the difference(P>0.05);at the 14th day of treatment, the score of KPS in the control group was significantly higher than that before treatment(P<0.05). Conclusion:Based on routine treatment and nursing intervention, the therapy of governor vessel- unblocking and yang- warming for patients with leukopenia after chemotherapy, can effectively promote white blood cell counts of patients and improve their quality of life, with significant clinical effect.
