Abstract：Objective：To discuss the effect of Sanzang Yangfei tang on pre-thrombotic state and the heart function in senile patients with cor pulmonale complicated with intractable heart failure. Methods：A total of 60 cases of senile patients with cor pulmonale complicated with intractable heart failure were divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method. The control group was given routine treatment，and the observation group was additionally given Sanzang Yangfei tang. The differences of pre- thrombotic state and cardiopulmonary function after treatment were compared between the two groups. Results：Before treatment，when compared forced vital capacity(FVC)， forced expiratory volume in one second(FEV1)，left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF) and the levels of systolic blood pressure (SBP) between the two groups， there was no significance in the difference(P＞0.05). After treatment， cardiopulmonary function in the two groups was improved when compared with that before treatment， and the improvement of cardiopulmonary function in the observation group was better than that in the control group，the difference being significant (P＜0.05). Before treatment， when compared the levels of von willebrand factor(vWF)， platelet α- granule membrane protein(GMP-140)， fibrinogen(FIB) and plasminogen activator inhibitor-1(PAI-1) between the two groups ， there was no significance in the difference(P＞0.05). After treatment，the levels of vWF，GMP- 140，PAI- 1 and FIB in the two groups were improved when compared with those before treatment，and the improvement of the above levels in the observation group was better than that in the control group， the difference being significant(P＜0.05). The total effective rate of early rehabilitation therapy was 90.00% in the observation group，significantly better than that of 66.67% in the control group，the difference being significant(χ 2=4.812，P＜0.05). Conclusion：Sanzang Yangfei tang can significantly improve pre-thrombotic state and the level of the heart function in senile patients with cor pulmonale complicated with intractable heart failure，as well as improve the clinical effect.
