Abstract： Objective： To observe the clinical effect of Baoji oral liquid for mesenteric lymphadenitis of milk and food stagnation type in children. Methods：A total of 80 cases of patients with mesenteric lymphadenitis were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group，40 cases in each group. The control group was given oral administration of cefixime granules， and racanisodamine tables if necessary. The observation group was additionally treated with Baoji oral liquid based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were treated for 10 days. The Chinese medicine syndrome scores before and after treatment in the two groups were evaluated. The disappearance time of abdominal pain and the changes in the long diameter and short diameter of the largest lymph nodes before and after treatment in the two groups were recorded. Results： The total effective rate was 100% in the observation group and 95.0% in the control group； the comparison of the clinical effect in the two groups showed significance in the difference(P＜0.05). the difference being significant(P＜0.05). After treatment， the long diameter and short diameter of the largest peritoneal lymph nodes in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group(P＜0.05)，and the Chinese medicine syndrome scores were lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05). After treatment，the long diameter and short diameter of the largest peritoneal lymph nodes in the two groups were shortened when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05)， and the Chinese medicine syndrome scores were lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05)；the improvement of above indexes in the observation group was more significant than that in the control group(P＜0.05). After treatment，the disappearance time of abdominal pain in the observation group was significantly shorter than that in the control group，the difference being significant (P＜0.05). Conclusion：Baoji oral liquid in treating children with mesenteric lymphadenitis of milk and food stagnation type can improve the clinical symptoms and the detumescence of the swollen lymph nodes， shorten the course of disease and enhance the clinical effect.
