Abstract:Objective:To observe the clinical effect of Chinese medicine nursing intervention combined with phototherapy for neonatal jaundice. Methods:A total of 122 cases of neonates with jaundice were randomly divided into two groups,61 cases in each group. The control group was given phototherapy combined with routine nursing, and the observation group was given phototherapy combined with Chinese medicine nursing intervention. The changes of the levels of jaundice indexes and serum indirect bilirubin before and after intervention in the two groups were observed and compared. The first defecation time, the time of meconiun turning yellow, the extinction time of jaundice and the incidence of adverse reactions in the two groups were compared. Results: After intervention for three, five and seven days respectively, the levels of jaundice indexes and serum indirect bilirubin in the two groups were significantly decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05); the above levels at each time point in the observation groupwere significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05). After intervention, the first defecation time, the time of meconiun turning yellow and the extinction time of jaundice in the observation group were significantly shortenedwhen compared with those in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions was 4.92% in the observation group and 25.24% in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). Conclusion: Chinese medicine nursing intervention combined with phototherapy has significant effect in treating neonatal jaundice, which can significantly reduce the jaundiceindexes and serum indirect bilirubin of neonates, and accelerate their recovery, with few adverse reactions.
