Abstract:Objective:To observe the effect of Taohong Siwu tang on the improvement of micro-inflammatory state and pedal blood flow in patients with diabetic foot of qi-yin deficiency combined with blood stasis type. Methods:A total of 118 cases of patients with diabetic foot of qi- yin deficiency combined with blood stasis type were selected and divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method,59 cases in each group. The control group was given routine treatment, and the observation group was additionally given Taohong Siwu tang based on the treatment of the control group. The changes in inflammatory factors, the inner diameter of dorsalis pedis artery and blood flow, the whole blood viscosity, the Chinese medicine syndrome scores and the clinical effect in the two groups were observed. Results:The total effective rate was 91.53% in the observation group, higher than that of 72.88% in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). After treatment, the levels of interleukin- 6(IL-6),interleukin- 12(IL-12), tumor necrosis factor- α(TNF- α) and high- sensitivity C- reactive protein(hs- CRP) in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and the above levels in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05). After treatment,in both left and right sides, inner diameter of dorsalis pedis artery and blood flow velocity in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and the inner diameter and velocity in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05). After treatment, the whole blood viscosity at low shear rate in the observation group was decreased when compared with that before treatment, and lower than that in the control group, differences being significant(P<0.05). After treatment, each score of lusterless complexion, lack of mental vigor and physical strength, weak breathing and laziness to speak, pain in waist, edema, as well as squamous and dry skin and numbness in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion: The therapy of Taohong Siwu tang has significant scavenging effect on inflammatory factors in patients with diabetic foot of qi-yin deficiency combined with blood stasis type. It can effectively improve their micro-inflammatory state, promote pedal blood flow and increase the inner diameter of pedal blood vessel,as well as improve their internal environment of the foot.
