Abstract：Objective：To observe the clinical effect of Huoxue Zhitong capsules combined with local block for stenosing tenosynovitis of radial styloid. Methods：A total of 78 cases of patients were divided into the control group and the treatment group according to the random number table method，39 cases in each group. The control group was treated with routine local block，and the treatment group was additionally given Huoxue Zhitong capsules based on the treatment of the control group. Before and after treatment， the scores of Visual Analogue Scale(VAS) and Cooney wrist function in the two groups were observed and compared；the levels of tumor necrosis factors-α(TNF-α) and C-reactive protein(CRP) in the two groups were compared. The total clinical effect in the two groups was observed and compared. Results：The total effective rate was 87.2 % in the treatment group and 66.7% in the control group， the difference being significant(P＜0.05). After treatment， VAS scores in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05)，and Cooney scores were increased(P＜0.05)；the improvement of the above scores in the treatment group was more significant than that in the control group(P＜0.05). After treatment， the levels of TNF- α and CRP in serum in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05)，and the above levels in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05). Conclusion：The therapy of local block combined with Huoxue Zhitong capsules for tenosynovitis can significantly improve the wrist function of patients，relieve the pain and inhibit the inflammatory reactions，whose curative effect is better than that of simple local block therapy.
