Abstract:Objective:To observe the clinical effect of Quhan Chubi tang combined with diclofenac sodium for rheumatoid arthritis. Methods:A total of 60 cases of patients with rheumatoid arthritis were randomly divided into the control group and the observation group,30 cases in each group. The control group was treated with diclofenac sodium, and the observation group was additionally treated with Quhan Chubi tang based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were treated for four courses, seven days being a course. The changes in the time of morning stiffness,in the numbers of joint pain and red swelling respectively, and in the levels of erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR) and rheumatoid factors(RF) before and after treatment and clinical effect in the two groups were observed and compared. Results: The total effective rate was 90.00% in the observation group and 66.67% in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). After treatment, the time of morning stiffness in the observation group was shorter than that in the control group;the numbers of joint pain and red swelling respectively were fewer than those in the control group;the comparisons between the two groups showed significant differences(P<0.05). After treatment, the levels of ESR and RF in serum in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group, differences being significant(P<0.05). Conclusion:The therapy of Quhan Chubi tang combined with diclofenac sodium has definite clinical effect in treating rheumatoid arthritis, whose effect is better than that of simple diclofenac sodium.
