Abstract:Objective:To observe the effect of Chinese herbal fumigation combined with routine therapy for swelling after surgery for limb fracture. Methods: A total of 160 cases of patients undergoing surgery for limb fracture were randomly divided into the control group and the treatment group,80 cases in each group. The control group was given routine therapy, and those with pain were given etocoxib tablets;the treatment group was additionally treated with Chinese herbal fumigation based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were treated for 15 days. The pain of affected limbs and symptom scores in the two groups before and after treatment as well as the disappearance time of swelling and pain in the two groups were compared. The curative effect was evaluated. Results:The total effective rate was 96.25% in the treatment group and 83.75% in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). After treatment, the scores of Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) and scores in the two groups were decreased, and the above scores in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05); the disappearance time of swelling and pain in the treatment group was earlier than that in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). During treatment, there was no obvious adverse reaction in the two groups. Conclusion: Chinese herbal fumigation combined with routine therapy for swelling after surgery for fracture can effectively improve pain and swelling and promote recovery with significant effect.
