Abstract： Objective： To observe the clinical effect of Huoxue Quyu tang for fracture complicated with soft tissue contusion. Methods： A total of 76 cases of patients with fracture complicated with soft tissue contusion and undergoing operation were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group，38 cases in each group. After operation， the control group was given routine treatment，and the observation group was additionally treated with Huoxue Quyu tang based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were treated for two courses， five days being a course. After treatment，the improvement of pain and swelling，the changes in hemorheological indexes before and after treatment，the healing time of fracture and the callus density were compared between the two groups. Results： After treatment， the percentage of patients with Ⅰ-degree swelling was 63.16% in the observation group and 34.21% in the control group，the difference being significant(P＜0.05). On the first day after operation，when compared the levels of whole blood viscosity， hematocrit and fibrinogen as well as the scores of VAS between the two groups，there was no significance in differences(P＞ 0.05)； after treatment， the above indexes in the observation group were all lower than those in the control group， differences being significant(P＜0.05). After treatment，the healing time of fracture in the observation group was shorter than that in the control group，and the callus density was higher than that in the control group，differences being significant(P＜ 0.05). Conclusion：For patients with fracture complicated with soft tissue contusion，Huoxue Quyu tang can improve their hemorheological indexes，and promote fracture healing，with significant curative effect of detumescence and analgesia.
