Abstract： Objective： To observe the clinical effect of Shenling Baizhu granules combined with smecta for infantile dyspepsia diarrhea. Methods：A total of 114 cases of children with dyspepsia diarrhea were divided into two groups according to the random number table method， 57 cases in each group. The control group was treated with smecta， and the observation group was additionally given Shenling Baizhu granules based on the treatment of the control group. The clinical effect was compared. Results： The total effective rate was 75.44% in the control group and 91.22% in the observation group， the difference being significant(P＜0.05). The disappearance time of abdominal pain， diarrhea and abdominal distension as well as the recovery time of stool in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group，the difference being significant(P＜0.05). On the 9th day after treatment，the levels of inflammatory factors in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment，and the above level in the observation group was lower than that in the control group， the difference being significant(P＜0.05). There was no significant difference being found in the comparison of the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P＞0.05). Conclusion： The therapy of Shenling Baizhu granules combined with smecta for infantile dyspepsia diarrhea can alleviate the clinical symptoms more quickly， accelerate the recovery of gastrointestinal function in children and effectively reduce their inflammatory reactions，with safe medication.
