Abstract：Starting from the analysis of the understanding of Corona Virus Disease 2019(COVID-19) from the perspective of Chinese medicine，and syndrome characteristics of it at severe stage，the authors believed that COVID-19 belongs to the category of lung pestilence in Chinese medicine. The pathogenesis of it is the pathogenic dampness， causing abnormal functions of spleen and large intestine which reach a serious level will threaten patients' life. The nature of this disease is asthenia in origin and asthenia in superficiality. As a result，the authors proposed a therapeutic strategy based on an overall intervention of lung-spleen-large intestine for it，which focuses on diffusing the lung and relieving panting，clearing heat and dissolving phlegm， strengthening the spleen and tonifying qi， removing dampness and venting pathogen， unblocking visceral qi，and treating both the internal and the external simultaneously. It emphasizes overall intervention to achieve good results.
