Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical effect of abdominal acupuncture with Yinqi Guiyuan method for puerperal hypogalactia of qi-blood deficiency type. Methods:A total of 70 cases of patients who were in accordance with the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into the control group and the treatment group,35 cases in each group. The control group was given routine intervention,and the treatment group was additionally treated with abdominal acupuncture with Yinqi Guiyuan method at a group of points which was combined with Tianshu(ST 25), Daheng(SP 15), Huaroumen(ST 24), Qipang and Qixue(KI 13). In the two groups,the situation of hypogalactia was observed and evaluated;the score changes in the amount of lactation, the fullness degree of breast and the amount of artificial lactation were observed before and after treatment. Results:After treatment,the effective rate in the treatment group was higher than that in the control group,the difference being significant(P<0.05). After treatment, the scores of the amount of lactation in the two groups were improved when compared with those before treatment,and the score in the treatment group was higher than that in the control group(P< 0.05). After treatment,the scores of the fullness degree of breast in the two groups were improved when compared with those before treatment, and the score in the treatment group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05). After treatment,the amount of artificial lactation in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment, and the amount in the treatment group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion: Abdominal acupuncture with Yinqi Guiyuan method in treating puerperal hypogalactia of qi- blood deficiency type can improve lactation and the fullness degree of breast.
