Abstract:Objective:To observe the clinical effect of point Tuina combined with touch in preventing and treating neonatal jaundice. Methods: A total of 300 cases of neonates in full term and with normal labor were selected in our hospital and divided into the touch group and the combination group,150 cases in each group. The touch group was given routine touch intervention after neonates were born and given a bath, and the combination group was given touch combined with point Tuina. The first time of meconium yellowing, the first time of defecation and the sleep time were compared between the two groups;neonatal transcutaneous jaundice indexes and levels of bilirubin in serum before and after nursing were detected; the hospitalization rate of neonates' transfer to department of pediatrics for treatment because of jaundice was compared between the two groups. Results:After treatment, the first time of meconium yellowing and the first time of defecation in the combination group were significantly shorter than those in the touch group, and the sleep time longer than that in the touch group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). After treatment, jaundice indexes and levels of bilirubin in serum in the two groups were significantly decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and the jaundice index and the level of bilirubin in serum in the combination group were significantly lower than those in the touch group(P<0.05). The hospitalization rate of transfer to department of pediatrics because of jaundice was 3.33% in the combination group and 13.33% in the touch group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). Conclusion: When compared with routine touch intervention, the combined point Tuina is more conducive to the recovery of neonatal jaundice, which can significantly decrease the jaundice index and bilirubin content, and reduce the hospitalization rate.
