Abstract:Objective:To investigate the effect of point application combined with emotional nursing on gastrointestinal function and negative emotion in patients after chemotherapy for breast cancer. Methods:A total of 130 cases of patients with breast invasive ductal carcinoma were selected and divided into two groups according to the random number table method, 65 cases in each group. The control group was given routine treatment and nursing intervention, and the observation group was treated with point application combined with emotional nursing. Before and after treatment, the activity of acetylcholinesterase(AChE) in serum, the levels of inhibin, gastrin and motilin in the two groups were detected; the scores of Self-rating Anxiety Scale(SAS) and Self-rating Depression Scale(SDS) as well as gastrointestinal reactions were compared. Results:Before nursing, there was no significant difference in the comparisons of the AChE activity, the levels of inhibin, gastrin and motilinas as well as the scores of SAS and SDS between the two groups(P>0.05). After nursing, AChE activity and inhibin in the observation group were significantly increased when compared with those in the control group, and gastrin and motilin were decreased, the difference being significant(P<0.05). The scores of SAS and SDS in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). During the first course of chemotherapy in the hospitalization period, the gastrointestinal reaction in the observation group was significantly more mild than that in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). Conclusion: The therapy of point application combined with emotional nursing has significant effect on patients after chemotherapy for breast cancer, which can significantly enhance the gastrointestinal function as well as effectively improve the anxiety and depression of patients.
